Domaine des Coteaux des Travers
You are welcomed at the domain in group for any tasting in the cellar…
From Charavin to Charavin, the domain of Coteaux des Travers which the word "Travers" means slide of rising sun, perpetuates the tradition from father to son. In 1931, Robert’s grandfather began cultivating vineyards and production spread out during “after-war” and notably 1976, at the beginning of the sale in bottle.
The domain is composed of 11 hectares on Rasteau and 3 ha on Cairanne.
In Rasteau, the soil is particularly strong in clay with an exceptional exposition on slopes. The vineyard of Cairanne is quite divided coming from a mix of sandy, clay and garrigue soils.
The exposure, mainly on Coteaux, has a microclimate with high temperatures, which is favourable to the grapes, as they can reach exceptional rates of sugar (15-16%)
